Elena’s
show report:
WCF & FIFe Show 14-15.10.2006 from St.Petersburg, Russia
"Koshachyi
Assamblei meaning "Cats Assembly" took place in St.
Petersburg. It was arranged by the two cat clubs Eylur (WCF) and
Astarta (FIFe).
These shows were not big. Last year it was a united show with monobreed
rings for the cats from both systems.
WCF doesn’t allow united shows anymore; therefore two separate
shows took place during that weekend.
At the WCF show Siberians were judged in 14.10.06 by the Austrian
TICA AB judge, Mr.Vlach Kurt and in 15.10.06 by Russian WCF AB judge
Mrs. Beninja Vlada.

Me
and my cats
I was at the WCF show the first day with my older boy EC (FIFe)
GrandEuroCh (WCF) Jonathan-Timange (# 019): He obtained his CACM
which
is a title of candidate to become World Champion. I took part in
both
days with my younger boy Edelweiss Yurik of Fialka (# 068) at the
FIFe
show. This was his first show in an adult class. I'm happy he
did well.

Special
comment:
An
EXO kitten Odri # 033 (owner & breeder Vasilieva L.T.) was the
best kitten of the 1st group. I’m not a fan of this breed,
but this kitten is really something like a little toy. She won over
a very big Persian boy. Enjoy her picture!

Personal
opinion of the show:
Personally
I was very impressed by very professional judgement of the Danish
judge, Mr.Per Hilfling-Olesen (AB FIFE judge) He is evidently a
true cat lover.

It
was also my first FIFe show by the new system; with only one Best
of the Best panel for neutered cats, juniors and kittens. BTW Best
of the Best was a Main Coon, a junior cat.
I
was surprised by this new system; according the new show rules,
for example, a cat - who was neutered due to knicked tail (or any
other genetic defect) - can compete against a breeding cat. This
issue puzzled me at this FIFe show.
